What Is Aerolase Treatment?
The Science of a 650 Microsecond Pulse
Aerolase is a family of FDA cleared aesthetic lasers, and we run two distinct systems. The Neo Elite is a non-ablative 1064nm laser for acne, rosacea, melasma and sun spots, with minimal to no downtime and no numbing.
The Era Elite is an ablative 2940nm erbium resurfacing laser for texture, scars and fine lines, and it carries real downtime and requires numbing. The Reverse platform can layer both in one visit.
Its 650 microsecond pulse is shorter than a thousandth of a second, brief enough to heat a target without letting heat spread into nearby tissue, which is why darker skin tolerates it. Nothing touches your skin, and three to six sessions is typical across our laser menu in Lake Havasu City.

What to Know
Common Aerolase Side Effects
Most patients see mild redness and a warm, sunburn like feeling in the treated area that fades within one to four hours, and occasionally by the next morning. Slight swelling around the eyes or on the cheeks can appear after a first session and usually settles within a day.
Treated brown spots often darken briefly before flaking away over roughly one to two weeks, which is the expected response and not a complication. Era Elite resurfacing passes add two to four days of light flaking and pinkness.
Rare Complications
Blistering, crusting, temporary lightening or darkening of pigment and, very rarely, scarring can occur, most often when skin has recent sun exposure or when settings are pushed too aggressively. Cold sore reactivation is possible in patients with a history of oral herpes, so we prescribe preventive antivirals when that history exists.
